Look out from the sunlit dining room to Lake Michigan, or step out onto the 150-seat patio and into the open air to experience Lírica, a new restaurant at 900 E. Grand Ave., opens Friday, March 26 as the first and only Latin-inspired venue on Navy Pier. Drawing inspiration from more than a dozen South American countries and encouraging guests to embrace "Comiendo con Ritmo" or "eating with rhythm", Lírica’s menu boasts fresh-cut fish from Salmon Asado to roasted meats including Costilla de Ternera and plenty of starters or “primeros,” such as Pulpo a la PlanchaLírica will take the guest on a culinary tour of Latin America. The menu influenced by Ibero-American cultures has been curated by industry veteran Chef Cesar Reyes (Offshore Chicago, Smith & Wollensky, Spruce, Park Grill, Chicago Firehouse) alongside Chef Michael Shrader (Offshore Chicago, Gideon Sweet, Monnie Burke’s, Luxbar, Epic and The Nine Group). The savory Latin cuisine pairs with Lírica’s cocktails, or "bebidas". Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, the waterfront restaurant is developed and operated by Maverick Restaurants and will be accepting reservations for both indoor and outdoor dining. Lírica will also play host to private events and weddings.

The new concept will feature a convival atmosphere, from a 22-seat bar for chef-crafted “primeros” and an open kitchen concept to watch the rhythm in motion, to an outdoor patio. Floor to ceiling windows will illuminate the space and offer diners a vantage point from each table.  Lírica offers a private dining space, suitable for large events. Featuring a modern, open-kitchen concept, Lírica's offerings will heavily feature fresh-cut fish and roasted meats, along with regional, seasonal vegetables. The Bar at Lírica will feature handcrafted "bebidas" drawing inspiration from various South American regions and a wine and beer selection drawn heavily from Spain and Portugal.

Lírica is Spanish for lyric, or expression of feeling and emotion. We’ve developed a restaurant and bar concept that will harmonize flavor-fueled fare, an upbeat, high-spirited scene and unparalleled views to create a once-in-a-lifetime feeling for our guests.” said Brittney Munro, General Manager at Lírica. “Lírica will serve as a celebration of culture and an ideal getaway for all, right here in the heart of Chicago.”

Lírica will be open to guests daily from 6 a.m. - 10 p.m. for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
