Lincoln Brunch Fest will return to Lakeview on Saturday, Oct. 10, bringing complimentary brunch samples, live entertainment and neighborhood programming to Lincoln Avenue between Diversey and Wellington. Presented by the Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce, Special Service Area 27 and Special Events Management, the third annual event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. during Chicago Marathon weekend and is free to attend.
“Lincoln Brunch Fest is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the local businesses that make the Lincoln Avenue corridor such a vibrant part of the neighborhood,” said Robert Morvay, Community Development & SSA 27 Director, Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce. “By bringing residents and visitors together to discover new businesses, connect with neighbors and experience the area, events like this help strengthen the sense of community that makes our neighborhood so special.”
Participating restaurants include Bookclub, Cebu, Coffee Lab & Roasters, Gotham Bagels, Heritage Bikes and Coffee, Left Coast Food + Juice, Lusha Pizza, Pockets, Rica Arepa, S&G Restaurant and The Weekly Mac. Neighborhood activations will come from Bottle & Bottega, Goblin Market, Illusions of Angels, Japanese Culture Center, Mystery Street Recording, Physio Partner, Pioneer Realty Group, Pups Pet Club, Social Dance Studio and Sugarwax Chicago. The Bookclub Stage at Lincoln Avenue and George Street will host performances by Beer the Band and Megadad, along with a showcase from the Japanese Culture Center.
Additional programming includes author and artist appearances at Goblin Market, where Chicago author and illustrator Sarah Becan will sign books from her “Let’s Make” series from 10 a.m. to noon and lead a brunch-themed drawing tutorial. Jessica Mlinaric will follow from noon to 2 p.m., signing books including “Secret Chicago” and “Secret Illinois.” At Beermiscuous, beer writer Josh Noel will join owner Austen Harvey for a discussion of Chicago beer history before signing copies of “Barrel-Aged Stout and Selling Out: Goose Island, Anheuser-Busch and How Craft Beer Became Big Business” through 2 p.m. Jeppson’s will also provide Malört merchandise during the event.
Admission and all participating brunch bites are complimentary.
