La Sirena Clandestina, the coastal Brazilian-themed neighborhood spot, Executive Chef John Manion pays homage to America’s favorite holiday meal: Thanksgiving dinner! Specifically, Manion re-imagines how to turn Turkey Day leftovers into a post-feast snack to create a brand new holiday tradition. The Thanksgiving Leftover Empanada ($5) is a mashup of turkey and cranberry, delicately hand-folded into an empanada pastry. Then, the empanada is cooked to crispy, golden and covered in gravy. It’s safe to say you’ll never look at your Thanksgiving leftovers the same. These empanadas are only available until November 26th!
