New Menu French Roscoe Village

Le Sud Mediterranean Kitchen will launch a new spring dinner menu starting on Wednesday, May 5. Executive Chef Michael Woodhall (Perennial; Gilt Bar; Bavette's) takes dining guests on a culinary tour through the South of France and the Basque region of Spain. The Roscoe Village restaurant is now open for indoor dining, and alfresco seating is offered on the sidewalk cafe.

Chef Woodhall's menu is divided into two sections, small plates ($9-$16) and large plates ($15-$29). Small plate selections incorporate baby kale and manchego salad, grilled shrimp and piparra pepper, braised Spanish octopus, smoked ham and cheese croquette, fried artichoke hearts and more. Large plates include grilled Bavette steak "Txuleton," roasted Basque half chicken, honey glazed duck breast, grilled Sakura pork chop, salmon a la Riberena, wood grilled tri-blend burger, chitarra pasta, and pan seared scallops.

Savory side dishes ($5-$7) consist of roasted fingerling potatoes, matchstick frites with aioli, white quinoa with red pepper and herbs, and mixed vegetables with breadcrumbs. A sweet end to the meal may be found with refreshing peaches and sabayon, creme brulee, chocolate torte, freshly baked chocolate chunk cookie, and sorbet of the day ($1.5-$7).

Le Sud's spring cocktail collection ($10-$12) features Layover in Spain (bulleit bourbon, px sherry, brandy, bitters), Magnolia Street (white blossom vodka, balsam, lemon, cucumber bitters), Petty Fraise (strawberry gin, earl grey simple syrup, lemon, mint), Pina Mule (blanco tequila, pineapple juice, ginger liqueur, lime juice, soda), French 75 (gin, lemon, simple syrup, sparkling wine) and Black Wave (bulleit bourbon, creme de cassis, amaro, lemon).
