Lawry’s The Prime Rib partners with The Goodman Theatre to kick off its annual holiday event, offering guests the ultimate holiday experience with a Dickens themed dinner at the classic steakhouse followed by a live production of “A Christmas Carol” at the city’s oldest non-profit theatre on Sunday, November 20.
The evening begins with a cocktail reception at 4 p.m. at the restaurant, featuring eggnog, holiday treats, and a performance by holiday carolers. Guests are seated for a four-course dinner at 4:30 p.m., with dishes including a Pumpkin Soup with cardamom crème fraiche and toasted pumpkin seeds, Lawry’s Famous Original Spinning Bowl Salad, an 8 oz. Prime Rib with Yorkshire Pudding, Mashed Potatoes, choice of Creamed Corn or Creamed Spinach, and a Traditional Rum Cake with coffee or hot tea. After dinner, diners head to the Goodman Theatre for a live production of “A Christmas Carol” at 6:30 p.m.
“We look forward to our partnership with the Goodman Theatre each year,” Sales and Marketing Manager Shannon Tauschman says. “Together, we showcase the rich cultural arts and incredible culinary scene in Chicago, creating the ultimate holiday experience for diners.”
Tickets are available for $130 per adult and $98 per child under 12 (inclusive of tax and gratuity). Fish or vegetarian options are also available. To continue the holiday cheer, Lawry’s hosts carolers in the restaurant during dinner service with dates through Christmas Eve.
