Understanding the context: Labriola Italian Specialties Now Open in Fulton Market

Doughboy Restaurant Group, led by Chicago artisan baker, restaurateur and entrepreneur Rich Labriola, announced that Labriola Italian Specialties is now open at 852 W Fulton Market. The new concept brings Labriola’s pizza, house-made pasta, and signature bakery favorites, including Sicilian cannoli, to the Fulton Market dining neighborhood.

At the heart of Labriola Italian Specialties is a menu rooted in authentic Italian flavors with a modern Chicago twist. The Fulton Market restaurant is designed as a neighborhood destination where guests can enjoy freshly baked breads, Italian specialties, and a robust craft cocktail and wine program. The concept also features late-night artisan pizza slices, authentic Sicilian cannoli made with Italian sheep milk ricotta, and spumoni available from a convenient walk-up window, positioning Labriola Italian Specialties as both an all-day and late-night destination.

The restaurant seats more than 100 guests in the dining room, with an additional 30 seats at the bar. Flexible layouts, including booths, banquettes, and outdoor seating, offer a setting for everything from casual lunches to celebratory dinners. Pizza ovens anchor the open kitchen, while design elements frame the bar as a central focal point.

The opening of Labriola Italian Specialties marks the continued growth of Doughboy Restaurant Group, which oversees full-service restaurants, fast-casual concepts, and large-scale production facilities. With more than 600 employees and consistent expansion of two to three new locations annually, the company has become a significant force in Chicago’s culinary landscape.

Labriola Italian Specialties is open from 4 to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 4 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.
