Labor Day weekend is upon us! For last minute plans we've got you covered:

Izakaya at Momotaro:  The West Loop spot is hosting a Labor Day sake party on Sunday, September 3 from 8:00pm to midnight featuring guest bartender Chiyo Takemoto, spirit specialist for Vintage Winebow and special varieties from Diageo. Four specialty sake cocktails will be offered, each $12 and numerous food specials will be available. Might as well party if you don’t have to go to work on Monday.

Lobster Rolls To Go at GT Fish & Oyster: GT Fish & Oyster is making it easier to enjoy the end of summer outdoor activities (goodbye beach, music / movies in the park, Ravinia concerts) with their new lobster rolls to go option. Executive Chef Giuseppe Tentori and team cook over a pound of premium, fresh lobster for each roll, prep the herb mayo and provide buns and instructions, so all that is left to do is assemble each and enjoy.

  • Pricing is at $28 dollars per roll (discounted from in-restaurant pricing) and a minimum of six rolls are required per order.

  • Orders are accepted via phone and should be placed 48 hours in advance.

Brunch at The Kennison: Enjoy The Kennison’s newly launched brunch on the Hotel Lincoln’s expansive patio to enjoy the end of summer (and have close proximity to Green City Market to get the last of summer vegetables).

Duck Duck Goat Ta’Go Soft Serve: For Labor Day, the Duck Duck Goat Ta’Go will also be launching their soft serve ice cream / shaved ice offerings which will feature four delectable offerings, listed below. The restaurant will still serve savory items like their spring rolls and Taiwanese fried chicken from the window as well.

  • Taiwanese Shaved Ice- Blueberry Cherry

  • Mango Dream Soft Serve & Shaved Ice Sundae

  • Almond Cookie Soft Serve Sundae

  • Waffle Cone Crunch Soft Serve Sundae
