What to watch: La Grande Boucherie Introduces New Spring Menu
River North’s brasserie-meets-steakhouse La Grande Boucherie just launched its spring menu! The French-inspired spot has crafted a lineup of all-new dishes celebrating the best of the season's produce.
Above all else, Artichoke is the star of the show with this latest turnover. From the hors d’oeuvre of Crispy Baby Artichokes, served with orange, niçoise olives and herbs crème fraîche, to the Artichoke Bolognese, artichokes are everywhere on this menu. While one of the plats principaux may bear the name “Lamb Chops Printaniére”, grilled artichokes still stand out on the dish.
Other seasonal dishes include heirloom tomatoes, served with their Swordfish and Grilled Octopus, spring peas, as seen in the Côte de Porc (Grilled chop, spring peas, Maille cream sauce, sweet beech mushrooms), and so many more fresh ingredients.
