What to watch: Kizuki's Free Ramen for National Noodle Day - Oct 6
Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya, located in Wicker Park, will host a huge giveaway on Thursday, October 4 to celebrate the upcoming National Noodle Day (October 6). Beginning at 5 p.m., during dinner only, Kizuki will give away 100 FREE bowls of their signature Tokyo Shoyu Ramen. The ramen will be available first come, first served.
Kizuki will also run a Facebook and Instagram giveaway in which they will give away an additional 100 bowls of the Tokyo Shoyu Ramen to the first 100 followers to both like and share the post on both Facebook and Instagram.
A traditional Tokyo-style ramen, the Shoyu Ramen (regularly $9) is made with a light chicken and pork broth fused with Kizuki's house made roasted oil and soy sauce seasoning, resulting in a broth that is slightly sweet yet savory and light on the palate. The ramen comes with thin "Chuka" noodles that complement the flavors of the soup. Toppings include a slice of pork chashu that is roasted, marinated, and then grilled, bamboo shoots, Chinese greens, and a garnish of chopped green onions with red chili flakes and a slice of seaweed.
