In June, Chef Donald Young (Les Nomades, Temporis, Woodwind, Venteux) presents the latest in his dining series, Duck Sel.

  • KENDALL COLLEGE POP UP: On Saturday, June 10 at 7 p.m., Young returns to his alma mater to host a special pop-up event at Kendall College Dining Room (18 S. Michigan Ave.) during which he’ll present a five course tasting menu of his contemporary American cuisine. Young will lead guests on a journey featuring dishes like Everything Spice Gougére with foie gras, pistachio and rhubarb; Alaskan Halibut with carrot, green almond and kish mish; Wagyu Short Rib & Ora King Salmon with potato, pineapple and dill and more. Tickets can be purchased for $125, with all profits from the event benefitting Kendall College’s scholarship program.

Tickets are also still available for Duck Sel’s monthly dining events during which Young showcases multi-course tasting menus for up to 16 guests. Held in a secret location revealed just before the event, these communal dinners will take place on:

  • Friday, June 16 at 7 p.m. (15-course)
  • Saturday, June 17 at 5:30 (seven course)
  • Saturday, June 17 at 8:30 (15-course)
