This month, the Franklin Tap and Cactus Bar and Grill will hold a trio of craft beer events. The Loop-located summer sipping and sampling functions are outlined below.

Thursday, July 16: Revolution Brewery Sampling

From 5-7 p.m. at Cactus Bar and Grill, Chicago's Revolution Brewing will be in the spotlight. Brewery representative and Certified Cicerone Kevin Kuzlik will be on hand to chat about their beers and offer samples of Rosa Hibiscus Ale. Guests will receive a souvenir can-shaped glass with the purchase of a Rosa Hibiscus Ale draft ($5). Additional $5 featured brews by Revolution include: Citra Hero IPA (draft); Cross of Gold Golden Ale (draft); Anti-Hero IPA (can); Fist City Chicago Pale Ale (can); and Eugene Porter (can).

Thursday, July 30: Ballast Point Tap Takeover
From 4-6 p.m. at The Franklin Tap, Ballast Point representative Jorge Cordoba will be on hand sampling draught brews and talking about San Diego's highly awarded Ballast Point Brewing Company. $6 featured pints include: Longfin Lager; Sculpin IPA; Grunion Pale Ale; and Wahoo White.

Thursday, July 30: Stone Brewery IPA Sampling

From 4-6 p.m. at Cactus Bar and Grill, Stone Brewery representative Patrick Long will chat about Stone beers (San Diego, CA) and offer sample tastings. Featured beers ($5) include: Go To Session IPA; Delicious IPA; and Ruination Double IPA 2.0. This is a great opportunity to enjoy three different IPA styles from a brewery that was voted “All Time Top Brewery on Planet Earth” by Beer Advocate readers.
