Join the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs on Friday, July 17 starting at 6 pm via Zoom for an evening of Cakebread wine & food to toast all the nonprofit has accomplished this year. Select Cakebread Cellars wine will help raise funds to support 15,000 Union League Boys & Girls Clubs youths.

Guests will be offered three Cakebread wines and a four-course menu from Union League Club Chef Ponzo as Dennis Cakebread gives detailed information about each wine and pairing with each course. In addition, Dennis will share insights on his family winery which has created wines since 1973. All tickets include a bottle of Cakebread Reserve Chardonnay, Cakebread Pinot Noir, and Cakebread Cabernet.

“This year’s Wine Dinner benefit will be very special as we not only celebrate our Second Century, and the 100th year of our Club One in Pilsen, but we also salute ULBGC’s resilience as they continue to serve our youth so well during this unprecedented time.  We can’t wait to celebrate with such a celebrated vintage as Cakebread Cellars,” said Lisa Shade Union League Boys & Girls Clubs event co-chair.

The co-chairs will also make a special toast to thank guests for their continued support, and salute the critical work of the Union League Boys and Girls Clubs with youth on a daily basis including, virtual “Peace Circles” for mental wellness, food drops for health, and virtual learning and mentorship during the Covid-19 pandemic. This year’s wine dinner celebrates Union Leagues Boys and Girls Clubs Second Century and Club One and its 100 year anniversary this year.
