Johnny’s Grill Introduces Taco Tuesdays to Logan Square

To prepare for patio season at Mezcaleria Las Flores, Chicago’s new mezcal destination in Logan Square, as partner/bartender Jay Schroeder (Frontera Grill, Topolobampo, Xoco) chef/owner Sarah Jordan (Blackbird, Boka, GT Fish & Oyster, recognized by Food & Wine as a “Best New Pastry Chef” in 2013) of neighboring Johnny’s Grill, introduce Taco Tuesdays.

Rotating weekly, the taco selection officially kicked off with Grilled Fish Tacos topped with spicy tomatillo avocado salsa and cabbage slaw. Guests can pair the taco special ($5 for two tacos) with one of Schroeder’s crafted mezcal cocktails or with $2 Tecate tallboys from the Tuesday Boozeday special at Johnny’s Grill.

Look out for Chorizo Tacos and Tacos Al Pastor from Sarah Jordan along with the fast-warming weather. Tacos will also be available at Johnny’s Grill during Taco Tuesdays, which special runs from 5:00 p.m. to close.
