The 5th annual James Beard Foundation’s Taste America is coming to Chicago on October 27, 2017, at Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, Chicago, as part of a national culinary tour. Taste America brings together chefs in ten U.S. cities, including Chicago, where Taste America All-Star Michael Voltaggio will collaborate with Local Star Stephanie Izard and pastry chef Mari Katsumura to create a one-of-a-kind four-course dining experience.
This partnering of culinary greats also features a tasting reception, where Andrew Zimmerman (Proxi & Sepia, Chicago), Nicole Pederson (Found & The Barn, Chicago), Jenner Tomaska (Next Restaurant, Chicago), Cosmo Goss & Erling Wu-Bower (Pacific Standard Time, Underscore Hospitality, Chicago), and Sandra Holl (Floriole Bakery, Chicago) will dazzle guests with their own individual culinary styles.
Over 350 local food enthusiasts, culinary leaders and JBF supporters will come together for the night of culinary stars, including Co-Chairs: Jimmy Bannos, Owner, The Purple Pig and Heaven on Seven; Michael Olszewski, Owner, Grace Restaurant; and Vincent Lawrence, CEO, Imperial Lamian, and Honorary Co-Chairs: David Whitaker, CEO, Choose Chicago; and Sam Toia & Mary Kay Bonoma, President & CEO and Executive Vice President, Illinois Restaurant Association.
