"Jalapeño Funk" Fridays at Taco Joint in River North

Taco Joint has launched "Jalapeño Funk", taking place every Friday at the River North location. A collective of Chicago-based DJs, Future Rootz Son Sistema, will play global roots, tropical bass, world electronic and Latin house music in the lounge from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Taco Joint's full menu will be available until midnight, featuring antojitos (quesadillas; flautas; queso fundido; tamales), tortas (steak carne asada; chicken al carbon; grilled cheese n' peppers), dinner platters (taco dinner; chile relleno; chicken enchiladas) and more. The taco menu, with eight different preparations served on hand-pressed tortillas, will be offered until 1 a.m. (barbacoa; cochinita; al pastor; ceviche; rajas; chicken tinga; baja; steak fajita).
