In recognition of International Women's Day, aliveOne in Lincoln Park will offer a special $8 "Gloria Steinem" cocktail featuring Death's Door Gin, demerara syrup, fresh lime juice and grapefruit La Croix. From Monday, March 4 through Sunday, March 10, $1 from each cocktail sold will benefit the Chicago Women's Health Center.

Chicago Women's Health Center facilitates the empowerment of women and trans people by providing access to health care and health education in a respectful environment where people pay what they can afford.

Easy Bar

In recognition of International Women's Day, $1 from every house cocktail sold on Friday, March 8 will be donated to Equality Now.

Equality Now works for the protection and promotion of the human rights of women around the world. Working with national human rights organizations and individual activists, Equality Now documents violence and discrimination against women and mobilizes international action to support their efforts to stop these human rights abuses.

In honor of International Women's Day, from Monday, March 4 through Sunday, March 10, $1 from every Estelle's Manhattan and Second City 75 cocktail sold will be donated to Futures Without Violence. Estelle's will also offer a special $6 Ladies' Night shot.

Futures Without Violence is a non-profit organization with the goal of ending domestic and sexual violence. They are involved in community-based programs, develop educational materials, and conduct public policy work.

Hubbard Inn

Hubbard Inn will offer women a special treat on International Women's Day. Any woman who makes a reservation to dine on Friday, March 8 will receive a complimentary chef's choice dessert.

In support of International Women's Day, from Sunday, March 3 through Friday, March 8, Remedy will offer their signature Cellar Door cocktail for $8 with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Chicago Foundation for Women. The cocktail features Bulleit Bourbon, champagne, simple syrup and Angostura.

Chicago Foundation for Women envisions a world in which all women and girls have the opportunity to thrive in safe, just and healthy communities and raises money to fund and support organizations that help women and girls.

The Owl will offer a specialty $8 "Run the World" Rum Punch in honor of International Women's Day on Friday, March 8. Fifty-percent of proceeds will be donated to the Chicago Foundation for Women.

Saint Lou's Assembly 

In honor of Women’s History Month, Saint Lou’s Assembly is celebrating the hospitality industry’s fierce female talents as it hosts the second annual Women In Craft panel on March 21st from 7 PM - 9 PM. Moderated by Emma Janzen, Digital Content Editor of Imbibe Magazine and author of Mezcal: The History, Craft and Cocktails of the World’s Ultimate Artisanal Spirit, the sequel to 2018’s sold out event will feature a panel comprised of Fat Rice co-owner Adrienne Lo, Melissa Romanos, head bartender at The Publican and Katie Sauer, sales manager for Momentum Beverage. During the evening's spirited discussion, panelists will field questions on their backgrounds in the beverage industry and personal areas of expertise. Tickets will be available for $30 with a portion of proceeds being donated to Planned Parenthood Illinois Action.

MONEYGUN

West Loop's MONEYGUN is mixing up great drinks for an even greater cause with its ongoing monthly philanthropic initiative, MONEYGUN Charity Club (#MGCC). In honor of Women’s History Month in March, top female bartenders from around the city will be concocting four dedicated #Monthlygun cocktails with $1 from each sale benefitting Planned Parenthood of Illinois. Join MONEYGUN every Sunday of the month as guest beverage talents Amy Probasco (Blind Barber), Carly Gaskin, winner of USBG’s Most Imaginative Bartender 2018, Sophia de Oliveira (Good Measure), and Safia Goodwin (SPIN) each step behind the bar for a shift.

CAFE MARIE-JEANNE 

Toast women in wine and International Women’s Day with three Old World pours courtesy of Cafe Marie-Jeanne and Wine Director Jamie McLennan. Located in Humboldt Park, the neighborhood European cafe and neo-bistro will highlight a trio of varietals to commemorate the day, including:

2016 Alessandra Bera “Arcese Blanco ($9): A beautiful Northern Italian blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Vementino and Favorita grapes from Piedemont region 

2017 Marie Thibault "PetNat Rose" ($12): Marie's dedication to clean farming and natural vinification shines through in her PetNat, mostly made Grolleau and perfectly balanced with fruit, mineral, texture and carbonation. 

2017 Ingrid Groiss  "Gemischter Satz", Weinviertel, Austria ($10): Displaying the unique terroir of Lower Austria, the field blend is comprised of 10+ varietals showing high-toned acidity, tropical fruit, soft spice and finish full of flinty limestone.

20 East

20 East at The Talbott will feature a half-dozen female-centric cocktails in March, including the Aretha Franklin (Old Fashioned), the Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex (Lillet Rosé Martini) and the Jackie-O (classic Martini).

Z Bar 

Z Bar, 108 E. Superior St., has crafted a cocktail collection honoring influential women in history: the Amelia Earhart (Nolet’s Gin, crème de fleur, maraschino, lemon); the Rosa Parks (brandy, dill, rosé, Aperol, lemon); and the flower-topped Frida Kahlo (Casa Noble Bianco, cucumber, jalapeno, elderflower, lime). The bar’s fourth special cocktail, The Z (gin, cucumber, bergamot, lime), is inspired by namesake Maria Zec, The Peninsula Chicago’s General Manager. The drinks are $18 and available all month.

In honor of International Women’s Day on Friday, March 8th, the Albert (located at 228 E Ontario) is celebrating all ladies with a special cocktail inspired by Chicago street photographer, Vivian Dorothy Maier. The Albert’s General Manager and Head Mixologist, Aislyn Plath, has concocted the Her Name Was Vivian, made with Sneaky Fox Vodka, Crème di Violette, egg white, and lemon, for guests to enjoy.
