Chicago coffee roaster, Intelligentsia, is hosting their sixth annual Intelligentsia Cup bike race. Started by Intelligentsia’s founder, and biking enthusiast, Doug Zell, the week of races began Friday, July 19 in Chicago’s Beverly neighborhood, and will conclude on Sunday, July 28 near Intelligentsia’s Roasting Works in the newly designated “Chicago Brewing District" (1850 W. Fulton St. Chicago, IL 60612).
To celebrate the final day of races, Intelligentsia and Goose Island will host a block party at their headquarters in Fulton Market from 8am to 9pm. The party will feature bike race viewing, some of the city’s many food trucks including Aztec Dave’s, Five Squared, Intelligentsia’s Big Red Coffee Truck, and many more, plus offerings from Goose Island’s tap room, including the Sofie-mosa, a combination of orange juice and their Sofie Belgium style ale.
