The Franco’s Restaurant Group of family-owned restaurants will open Il Culaccino, a 225-seat, fine Italian dining restaurant in Chicago’s new McCormick Square neighborhood, in Spring 2019.
Anchored in the Arrive Lex Tower, 2138 South Indiana, Il Culaccino is the first upscale Italian, full-service restaurant in the McCormick Square entertainment district. It’s located steps away from Wintrust Arena, and a short walk from McCormick Place.
Visitors to the McCormick Square entertainment district, will find a variety of dining and beverage choices for business luncheons, after work cocktails or dinner, pre-game snacks and after-game celebrations. It’s also a destination for fans attending a Chicago Sky or DePaul Blue Demons game, a concert or other event.
Il Culaccino (translated as the ring left by a glass of wine) will offer a wide selection of Italian and international wines and spirits to complement a menu that will pay homage to Italian classics. Guests can expect Italian-style appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts as well as contemporary twists on well-loved favorites.
The build-out of Il Culaccino is now underway. The wine-themed décor will include floor-to-ceiling wine racks built into nearly every wall. The restaurant will include a bright all-seasons patio encased by a retractable roof for al fresco cocktails and dining. The year-round patio will seat 120 guests. Il Culaccino can accommodate a total of 225 guests for lunch or dinner.
