Understanding the context: Hungry as F*ck Pop-Up Brunch At Kimski August 13th
This Sunday, August 13th, Kimski will host Amy Lecza and Kelly Ijichi as part of their pop-up series, Hungry as F*ck. The duo, who met while both cooking at Parachute, conceptualized the series as a way to put their food ideas out there and have people try them.
The pair have mostly done pop-up dinners but this Sunday they will prepare an Ono Brunch, a Hawaiian-themed brunch from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. No tickets or reservations are necessary, they encourage anyone and everyone to come try out their fun food ideas! Coffee will be provided thanks to Passionhouse Coffee and drinks by Maria's Community Bar next door.
The event will also be collecting donations for the Chicago Period Project in order to distribute feminine hygiene items to women and girls experiencing homelessness. Any feminine hygiene products or cash donations will be accepted. With each donation, guests will be entered into a raffle drawing which will be held during the event.
Guests are encouraged to wear their best island gear so bring your friends and Hawaiian shirts for a good meal and a good time!
