Food Festival German

Hofbräuhaus Chicago, the German microbrewery, beer hall, and restaurant directly affiliated with the original Hofbräuhaus in Munich, will celebrate its fourth annual Oktoberfest from Sept. 16 through Oct. 23, 2016. Festivities include a variety of authentic Bavarian entertainment, freshly brewed “Oktoberfestbier” inspired by the original Hofbräuhaus in Munich, Germany, daily food specials and celebrity keg tapping ceremonies.

For more than 200 years, Bavarians have come together to celebrate Oktoberfest, an annual festival that began with the wedding of Crowne Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese in Munich. Since then, the celebration of Bavarian culture, cuisine and delicious beer has been celebrated around the world. Hofbräuhaus Chicago’s 38-day celebration will combine nightly live entertainment with a menu of traditional Bavarian cuisine served by Dirndl-wearing waitresses. 2016 Oktoberfest entertainers include a 40-piece German Bugle band, daily live music from authentic “oompah” bands direct from Germany and live performances by several German dance and singing troupes. Visit hbchicago.com for a complete entertainment calendar.

While enjoying all the entertainment that Hofbräuhaus has to offer, guests can also feast upon Hofbräuhaus Chicago’s menu of Bavarian specialties.
