Hello Kitty®️ Cafe to Officially Open on June 26th

Sanrio® is set to unveil the world’s largest Hello Kitty® Cafe in Chicago at 360 N Michigan Ave. Opening Friday, June 26, the first location in the Midwest will debut an expansive 8,000-square-foot, two-level space with both indoor and patio seating that offers sweeping views of the river and city skyline. 

A grand opening celebration will kick off on Friday, June 26 - Sunday, June 28 filled with special opening promotions throughout opening weekend.

The new cafe will feature an Afternoon Tea service during the day, alongside a menu of elevated drinks and desserts available all day. Menu highlights include freshly made to order Bow Waffles, Apple Pie Vanilla Latte, Melon Soda Float, and Fresh Lemonades. A curated selection including grab-and-go Hello Kitty and Friends-themed pastries with assorted character sugar cookies and macaron box set in flavors including Vanilla Bean, Green Tea, Strawberry, Salted Caramel, and Blue Raspberry.

Design elements bring Hello Kitty’s world to life with a pink and blue palette, Chicago skyline moments, a dedicated retail section, and a variety of seating options for both made-to-order and grab-and-go experiences. Available only at the Chicago Cafe, the Bow Room is a speakeasy-inspired room which will house a reservation-only Afternoon Tea experience, complete with concealed entryways, photo booths, and immersive, photo-ready moments throughout. The space will accommodate 50 guests. Outdoor seating will extend along Wacker Drive, offering space for 40, while the main cafe level will provide additional indoor seating for 60 guests.     

Chicago-exclusive offerings will include specialty menu items and collectible merchandise unique to this location.
