Chicago's only German-Southern mash-up is getting funky this Halloween... Funkenhausen's costume will be disguising itself for one day into Funkback Steakenhausen. On Halloween only, expect a menu of Aussie favorites reminiscent of the worldwide chain, such as: coconut shrimp on the barbie; Outback-inspired sürfenturfen, the restaurant's signature play on Surf n Turf; Rachel’s Australian pumpernickel pretzel with honey butter; Koala stew (its just baked potato soup, relax); and a 'Chocolate Thunder from Down Under' dessert. And, of course, the menu would not be complete without Chef Mark's take on a bloomin' onion, the Bloomin' Funion.
