According to over 500 Yelpers who converged March 15 at Yelp's official Starch Madnessevent, sampling and voting on Chicago's best sandwiches, the winner is Harvest Moon's new Sunrise Sandwich.
Sunrise Sandwich -- a generous schmear of sun-dried tomato cream cheese, heaped with hickory-smoked bacon, topped with a fried egg and red onions, served on a toasted everything bagel.
Created by Harvest Moon's new Executive Chef Emmalee Santioni, and recently added to Harvest Moon's brunch menu, the Sunrise Sandwich features a generous schmear of sun-dried tomato cream cheese, heaped with hickory-smoked bacon, topped with a fried egg and red onions, served on a toasted everything bagel, $12.
Opened since August in Wicker Park, Harvest Moon provides over-sized banquettes, hand-painted murals, and a rotating seasonal menu of dinner, brunch, and late-night favorites, all under the glow of Edison lamps and flickering candles.
