Half Acre Beer Co. unveils its newly renovated and expanded beer garden and bocce court at its Balmoral brewery today, Friday, May 24 to kick off the Memorial Day weekend and the start of summer.
The beer garden, which seats 120 guests, is rimmed with trees and greenery and features a hand-painted mural and custom woodwork by Half Acre Build Co., the brewery’s creative studio. The bocce court anchors one end of the beer garden for guests to enjoy. Half Acre has partnered with American Bocce Co. with plans to start a bocce league later this summer.
The outdoor bar has 12 taps serving a variety of beer, from the recently released Bodem IPA to Tuna Session IPA. Cans of Daisy Cutter Pale Ale and Pony Pilsner will also be for sale. The patio bar is full counter service, including food. New summer dishes include chilled Asian peanut noodles with scallions, carrots, cilantro cabbage and peanuts ($8).
For those interested in hosting a summer gathering at Balmoral, a small area of the beer garden that accommodates 40 and includes the bocce court will be available for buyouts. Guests can have an American Bocce Co. referee onsite to call games and coordinate activities. Guests also can opt for a brewery tour as part of their private event.
