What to know about Guzman y Gomez Announces Three New Chicagoland Locations

Guzman y Gomez (GYG) is accelerating its U.S. expansion with the announcement of three new Chicagoland locations and key leadership appointments, reinforcing its commitment to serving the Chicagoland community with freshly cooked, high-quality fast food and a long-term local presence.

GYG will open a new restaurant in Lincoln Square at 4711 N Western Avenue, followed by a second Naperville location at 844 S. Route 59, South Naperville in late 2026, as part of its broader expansion plans. In addition, plans are confirmed for a location at 925 W Belmont in Lakeview, to open in Winter 2027.

Supporting this growth, GYG has appointed Joseph Devlin as Marketing Director, U.S. and Kathryn Fechner as Head of Catering, strengthening its leadership bench as it expands brand awareness and invests in catering as a core pillar of its U.S. strategy.

At the center of that strategy there is the food. GYG continues to differentiate itself through real, freshly cooked Mexican-inspired food made to order - from flame-grilled proteins to fully customizable “build your own” burritos, tacos and bowls. It’s fast food the GYG way: high-quality ingredients, cooked fresh and served fast without compromise. As catering expands, that same commitment to speed, quality and flexibility will extend to offices, events and group occasions across Chicagoland.

Chicago remains a critical proving ground for GYG’s U.S. “proof of concept,” with continued investment in operations, technology and guest experience designed to support long-term, scalable growth.

“At GYG, we’re not just opening restaurants, we’re building a long-term business in the communities we are present,” said Steven Marks, Founder and Co-CEO of GYG. “Chicagoland has been an important proving ground for us, and we are investing in great people, great locations and, most importantly, great food. Our focus is simple: real ingredients, cooked fresh, with speed and consistency our guests can enjoy every day.”
