Guinness Open Gate Brewery Chicago has announced a special beer in honor of Women’s History Month available now. This new recipe, a red rice ale featuring lemongrass and bird’s eye Chile pepper, was developed by female brewer Megan Schwarz and chef de cuisine Taylor Bischof. It will be available exclusively at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery for $12.99 a four pack in the retail store and on the restaurant menu.

Ryan Wagner, Guinness National Ambassador and Head of Marketing and Partnerships, says, “Our Head Brewer Megan Schwarz and Chef Taylor are leaders of the brewing and culinary teams at Guinness OGB Chicago because they are talented, deserving, and experienced individuals who also happen to be women. The Open Gate Brewery – like many organizations now – is led by incredible women who we celebrate with this exciting beer.”

In addition, Wagner and his team announce an April Beer Dinner, “OGB (Open Gate Brewery) In Bloom.”  This spring menu will include Crispy Duck Confit with Lemon Curd and Falafel, a Brown Bread Tartine, Slagel Farms Roasted Pork Loin and a “Banoffee” (Caramel Chocolate and Banana) Tart. The all-important beer pairings include Cheeky Mild, Corn Maize Cream Ale, Dopplebock and Barrel Aged Old-Fashioned Ale. Tickets are $109 each and available through Resy.

Also, Guinness Open Gate Brewery Chicago is launching additional opening hours. Starting April 1, the brewery will be open seven days a week:

This also means Neighborhood Hour specials, including $2 off the brewery’s exclusive Chicago-brewed beers, will be available Monday through Friday from 3 PM – 6 PM.
