Green City Market (GCM) has announced it will add three additional Saturday markets to its calendar. The market in Lincoln Park — which chef and restaurateur Alice Waters once called “the best sustainable market in the country” — will now run through Nov. 20 on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m at its Lincoln Park location (Lincoln Ave and Clark St).
“Farmers will face another challenging winter season and so this outdoor extension is critically important to keeping them connected with shoppers,” GCM executive director Mandy Moody said. “We don’t stop eating when the weather turns cooler and farmers don’t stop growing for us either. Delicious, nutritious, local food is abundant all year long. After our season extension ends, we’ll continue offering home delivery all winter long through our GCM Delivered program to keep farmers and those they feed connected.”
Vendors for the extended season include Finn’s Ranch, offering beef, pork, poultry and eggs; Iron Creek, offering vegetables, fruit, and herbs; Seedling Farms, offering fresh fruit and apple cider; and many more. A complete list of vendors is available at GreenCityMarket.org.
Each season GCM welcomes 175,000 shoppers across both locations. Safe shopping guidelines will continue to be in place. Unvaccinated individuals are strongly encouraged to wear a mask at all times.

GCM Lincoln Park is located at the south end of Lincoln Park near 1817 N. Clark St. at the intersection of Clark and Lincoln.
GCM’s West Loop market located in Mary Bartelme Park will run on Saturdays through Oct. 30.
