Gordon Ramsay North America has announced Gordon Ramsay HELL’S KITCHEN, the restaurant inspired by the FOX television series, is set to open in Chicago in early 2023. The restaurant will be located on 508 North State Street, in River North. This will be Chef Ramsay’s second location in Chicago, the first being Gordon Ramsay Burger located at the corner of State and Ontario.

“The community has been so welcoming with the opening of Gordon Ramsay Burger that I can’t wait to open our second restaurant in Chicago. When we thought about where to open additional locations of Gordon Ramsay HELL’S KITCHEN, Chicago was key for me. River North is one of my favorite neighborhoods, and I’m thrilled to soon have two restaurants there,” said Ramsay.

The restaurant’s menu will include Chef Ramsay’s signature classics like Beef Wellington, the HELL’S KITCHEN Burger and Sticky Toffee Pudding. The bar serves a selection of both classic and signature cocktails; from a traditional Negroni and Old Fashioned to the Smoke on the Boulevard, served in a lantern adorned with dry ice or the Notes from Gordon, complete with a personalized message from Chef Ramsay himself.

“Gordon Ramsay HELL’S KITCHEN will be an incredible addition to the River North neighborhood. After opening Gordon Ramsay Burger in late 2021, we saw Chicago as an ideal location to continue to expand,” said Norman Abdallah, CEO of Gordon Ramsay North America.

The 18,000 square-foot restaurant will have a two-level layout. Just as the blue Chicago River runs through a skyline of steel, gray stone, and concrete in the Windy City, the showcase cookline of Gordon Ramsay HELL’S KITCHEN is a centerpiece among neutral finishes. A focus on verticality is a theme throughout the restaurant to mimic the city of the first skyscraper. Modernized patterns displayed in tile and detailed accents play off the historic shapes found in an urban landscape known for its architecture.
