Craft Beer

Goose Island Beer Company announced the 2025 Bourbon County Brand Stout lineup, continuing its annual release of the barrel-aged beer series. The collection includes Bourbon County Brand Original Stout, Cherries Jubilee Stout, Chocolate Praline Stout, Proprietor’s Stout, Double Barrel Heaven Hill Bottled-in-Bond Stout, and Parker’s Heritage Reserve Stout.

Each release draws on different methods of aging, ingredients, and barrels. Cherries Jubilee Stout is finished in cognac casks, while Chocolate Praline Stout is aged in single-use bourbon barrels. Proprietor’s Stout uses pistachios, walnuts, and cinnamon, reflecting the influence of baklava.

Two releases highlight collaborations with whiskey producers. Double Barrel Stout is aged in two sets of Heaven Hill Bottled-in-Bond barrels, and Parker’s Heritage Reserve Stout is matured in barrels previously used for the 17th edition of Parker’s Heritage 10-year-old rye whiskey.

For the first time, Goose Island will also offer Bourbon County Brand Original Stout in 10-ounce four-pack bottles. The recipe remains the same, but the new format allows for smaller servings and side-by-side tastings with other variants.
