Gioia has launched a martini menu featuring a Chicago-inspried Giardiniera Martini. The goal of the program is to share a martini selection inspired by Italian traditions and Chicago culture. Each martini is $20 and is served with a side of salted potato chips and edible garnishes.
Giardiniera Martini - This martini offers a take on the Chicago-Italian classic condiment: giardiniera. The condiment originated in Italy. With a mildly spicy, briny pickle flavor, the Giardiniera Martini is a new version of a dirty martini inspired by Chicagoans. The giardiniera adds heat, crunch and acidity.
Caprese Martini - A twist on a savory martini inspired by Italy's caprese with flavors of summer tomatoes and basil in a glass.
Giacomilla Martini - This is an Italian take on James Bond’s favorite cocktail, the Vesper. James in Italian is Giacomo, and chamomile in Italian is camomilla, inspiring the name Giacomilla in a play on words. Fresh lemon flavors from the Vesper are combined with summer florals along with Italians’ favorite herbal tea: Chamomile.
Frutti di Bosco Martini - Translating to “Forest Fruits,” the Frutti di Bosco Martini is a juicy, sweet martini. It plays on blueberries and blackberries of summertime with a tie to the flora and fauna from which they originate. With edible flowers, fresh mint and berries, this martini tastes like a bowl of freshly picked berries from a forest.
