This New Year’s Eve, Giant (3209 W. Armitage Ave.) will turn over their dining room to one lucky group for an end-of-the-year celebration. The Logan Square restaurant will auction off a complete restaurant buy-out on Friday, December 31, with proceeds benefiting two local non-profits.
This is the third NYE auction offered by the Giant team. In 2018 and 2019, the restaurant auctioned off its dining room to locals who hosted festive dinner parties on New Year’s Eve and Giant’s partners, Jason Vincent and Josh Perlman, are eager to offer a similar experience.
The buy-out includes a completely customized menu for up to 40 guests and gives the winner access to the restaurant for the entire evening. The winning bidder will work directly with Chef Vincent and to create a personalized feast and with Perlman on paired celebratory libations. Giant will donate 40% of the proceeds to the local partners, split evenly between Kitchen Possible, a Chicago-based non profit that builds empowered mindsets in kids through cooking; and Block Club Chicago, a nonprofit news organization dedicated to delivering reliable, nonpartisan and essential coverage of Chicago's diverse neighborhoods.
The auction will be live beginning Wednesday, November 3 online at 32Auctions and will be open until Friday, December 10.
