Available all month, Gene & Georgetti's limited-time 85th Anniversary Specials menu honors the restaurant's culinary history with a lineup of dishes revived and reimagined for the occasion. From longtime guest favorites to classic preparations, the menu pays tribute to the recipes, flavors and traditions that have defined Gene & Georgetti since 1941.
Highlights include Bacon & Blue, thick-cut smoked bacon caramelized and finished with creamy blue cheese; homemade Fried Ravioli served with the restaurant's classic marinara; a Walnut Cranberry Salad with crisp apples, toasted walnuts and Gene & Georgetti's signature apple vinaigrette; Lobster Fra Diavolo, featuring sweet Maine lobster tail in a signature spicy tomato sauce; and Pepper Steak, filet medallions sautéed with sweet peppers, mushrooms and homemade tomato sauce.
"This anniversary is incredibly meaningful because it celebrates so much more than 85 years of serving great food — it celebrates the generations of people who built Gene & Georgetti into what it is today. My grandfather, Gene Michelotti, helped establish the traditions that became the foundation of this restaurant, and my father, Tony Durpetti, devoted his life to preserving and strengthening that legacy while making every guest feel like family," said Michelle Durpetti, owner and third-generation restaurateur. "It is an honor to carry their vision forward, and we are forever grateful to the city of Chicago and to the generations of guests whose loyalty and support have made this milestone possible."
