Garrett Popcorn Shops Celebrates 77th Anniversary at 87th Street Shop

Garrett Popcorn Shops celebrates its 77th Anniversary with a party at its 87th Street Shop! From noon – 2 p.m., this Saturday, Sept. 26, fans will enjoy a $1 Small Bag of Garrett Mix or a special, off-menu recipe, Vulcan Buttery, available exclusively at the Shop located at 737 E. 87th Street at Cottage Grove, in the Chatham neighborhood. 

Also from noon – 2 p.m., this Saturday fans will enjoy DJ music, win prizes, and mingle with “celebrity scooper” Sonya Blakey from iHeart Radio, who will get behind the counter and scoop and serve freshly popped treats.

For 77 years in hometown Chicago, Garrett has handcrafted small batches of gourmet popcorn using secret family recipes that feature the highest quality ingredients, and a proprietary blend of hot-air popped kernels.
