Highlights: Frank & Mary’s Tavern's National Cat Lady Day Party and Fundraiser for Harmony House for Cats
Frank & Mary’s Tavern in Avondale will team up with its neighbor, Harmony House for Cats, for a philanthropic National Cat Lady Day party on Sunday, April 19 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Located directly across the street from one another, the two neighborhood businesses will join forces for an afternoon of cocktails, community, and cat-loving fun—all in support of Harmony House’s mission as a no-kill, cageless and eco-friendly cat rescue and shelter.
Along with raffles benefiting Harmony House (100% of proceeds donated), including the chance to win a Gucci wallet, the first 50 “cat ladies” will receive a free custom wine glass–a pairing for the $10 Kim Crawford wine bottle special.
Guests will also enjoy a themed Cat-Tail Menu with 50% of sales donated to Harmony House including the following cocktails:
The Meowy Mule (Tito's Handmade Vodka, lime juice and ginger beer)
Purr-secco Spritz (Aperol, Ruffino Prosecco and soda water)
Whisker Sour (Nelson's Green Brier Whiskey and sour mix)
Paw-Loma (Casa Noble Tequila and grapefruit juice)
The Litter Box (Miller Lite Draft, orange juice & drop shot of Amaretto)
Following the festivities, guests are invited to “prowl” across the street to Harmony House from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. to meet—and potentially adopt—some of the shelter’s cats.
“This partnership was a no-brainer,” said owner Kristin Kopicki from the team at Frank & Mary’s. “Harmony House is such an important part of this neighborhood, and we’re excited to bring our communities together for a fun event that gives back in a meaningful way.”
While the event celebrates all things feline, for safety reasons, guests are asked to leave their own cats at home.
