Highlights: Founder's Comedy Presents: March Sadness
Founder’s Comedy, the Chicago Athletic Association hotel’s newest series, is hosting a sporting take on the comedy cabaret night, March Sadness. The inaugural event invites a Final Five of comedian and improv acts to the Big Dance of comedy. Friday, March 9 the laughs hit the hardwood in the original gymnasium and basketball court now known as Stagg Court. Performances include Jarrell Scott Barnes (MLK’s of Comedy, Laugh Factory), Boots (iO Comedy Theatre), Preach (LA Diversity Comedy Festival), Dewayne Perkins (MTV’s “Wild N’ Out”), and Odinaka Ezeokoli (Netflix’s “Easy”). Host Clare Austen-Smith offers her play-by-play with music from DJ Michael David Smith, doors open at 8 p.m. for the 8:30 p.m. showtime. An admission price of $15 per person, ages 21 and over, guarantees entry with libations available for purchase.
