Lunch Brewery American West Town

Forbidden Root, Chicago’s own botanic brewing company and brewpub at 1746 W. Chicago Ave. in West Town, is launching lunch on Monday, June 20, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The menu, created by executive chef Dan Weiland, is a lighter take on the brewpub’s dinner menu including Bar Snacks like Jerky, Beer Cheese with Ritz Crackers and Kimchi Dill Lime Potato Chips; Burrata with strawberries, balsamic, malt streusel, toast; Forbidden Root Burger with giardiniere mayo, weiss aged cheddar, B&B pickle on a brioche bun; Mushroom Grilled Cheese on Texas toast; and Desserts like a Forbidden Root Float.

The kitchen will close at 2 p.m. and reopen at 4 p.m. for dinner service Monday-Saturdays. Beverages will still be available during that time. Limited reservations will be available for lunch at this time.

The Brewpub is open seven days a week from 4 p.m.-midnight with the kitchen closing at 10 p.m. Brunch is served every Sunday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and lunch is served Monday-Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. with beverages available from 2-4 p.m. until dinner service resumes.
