The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group, is kicking off the fall and football season with events, offerings and competitions this September.
The Fifty/50 Sports Bar (2047 W Division St in Wicker Park)
The sports bar will offer a number of drink specials and promotions for Chicagoans to experience throughout the football season. The Fifty/50 offers a “Beers Season Pass.” For $50, cardholders can claim their first (domestic) beer free of charge for every Sunday, Monday and Thursday gameday, playoffs included.
For Chicago fans, the deals continue - PBR beers will be only $1 for 10 minutes after every Chicago touchdown. During all Chicago team games, every table that spends an equivalent of $30 per person can try their hand at predicting the final score before halftime for the chance to get 50% off their final bill.
Utopian Tailgate(1608 N Wells St in Old Town)
Utopian Tailgate, the all-day partyscape rooftop above comedy enclave The Second City, will host a number of events over the coming weeks.
Utopian Tailgate will ring in the start of the football season with an all-out Spirit Week, with over-the-top themes, prizes, drinks and more to get Chicagoans ready for football:
September 6 - Superhero Day - Dress like your favorite superhero and enter in the Arm Wrestling Competition.
September 7 - Animal Print Day - Not only should customers wear animal print, but Utopian Tailgate will be dog friendly on this day to welcome any patio pups.
September 8 - Crazy Hair Day - Show up with the craziest hairstyle and stay for 80s and 90s TV shows and movies playing throughout for some nostalgia.
September 9 - Camo Day - Guests should dress up in camo and get ready to win an exclusive prize by entering in the pushup competition.
September 10 - 70s Disco Day - Guests can dance to disco and enter the limbo competition to win a special prize.
September 11 - Jersey Day - Wear your favorite team’s jersey while ordering food and drink specials.
Each day, guests who show their spirit – through dressing up to fit the theme, entering the competitions, bringing their pups, etc. – will receive a complimentary welcome shot and have the chance to receive prizes.
Later in the month, Utopian Tailgate will host Pure Imagination on Thursday, September 22 from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. In support of Youth for a Better Future, a local nonprofit organization that empowers kids in Chicago’s Near North neighborhood to become future community leaders, Utopian Tailgate is celebrating the child-like wonder everyone has within themselves.
