On Friday, September 22, Sir Kensington’s will park their Road Trip to Dip Truck on Hubbard St between Dearborn and State, in River North, where Chicago chefs Rick Gresh (AceBounce) and Doug Psaltis (Bub City, Three Dots & a Dash, RPM Italian) will go head-to-head to see who has the best fry recipe in the city. From 12pm-3pm, sample both fry creations for free and vote on your favorite. The winning chef gets $5,000 on the spot for their favorite charity, a big corny trophy, and some bragging rights for the day (the losing chef also gets $1,000 for charity).
- Chef Rick will offer his signature Garlic & Vinegar Fries with parsley and crushed chili, served alongside Sir Kensington’s Avocado Mayonnaise.
- Chef Doug will whip up his creative Yuca Frites served alongside Sir Kensington’s Chipotle Fabanaise.
Rick Gresh will donate his winnings to the Scleroderma Foundation of Greater Chicago and Doug Psaltis will donate his winnings to PAWS Chicago.
Following Friday’s "Fry Day" event, Sir Kensington’s truck will be parked throughout the city dishing out hot and fresh Alexia fries and tasty condiments for free until October 1.
