Hewn is hosting a night of bread and spirits with an After Hours event filled with tasting and demonstrations. Serving hand-forged artisan bread, Hewn teams up with FEW Spirits to highlight the use of gin and bourbon in the bakery’s fresh loaves and pastries.                       

Begin the evening sipping on cocktails provided by FEW Spirits and tasting bourbon themed appetizers from Hewn. Paul Hletko, owner of FEW Spirits, will provide insight on the distilling process and the handcrafted, small batch spirits.

Head Baker Ellen King will demonstrate the creation of Hewn’s caramelized onion rye with bourbon, the featured bread for the evening. Ellen will also be joined by Hewn’s Head Pastry Chef to show how the bakery crafts delectable sweet treats such as bourbon pecan tarts, bourbon maple monkey bread and other delicious mouthfuls. Guests are then invited behind the scenes in the kitchen to make their own flatbread, serving as a light dinner to soak up the spirits!
