Father's Day Freebies in Chicago

Father's Day falls on Sunday, June 19 and businesses across Chicago are showing their appreciation. From Andersonville to Wicker Park and from The Loop to Lakeview, Dads can get their hands on freebies this year in the form of edible and drinkable treats.

Dads will be treated to one complimentary espresso coffee at Caffè Umbria (346 N. Clark Street) on Saturday, June 18 in recognition of Father's Day.

Dads who share their best #UmbriaDad shot on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook from Father's Day weekend will be entered to win a Caffè Umbria coffee gift basket which includes bags of the Bizzarri Blend (medium-dark roast signature blend) and the Arco Etrusco Blend (dark roast) along with a travel tumbler. The winner will be contacted on Monday, June 20. The coffee and espresso bar in The Loop features Caffè Umbria's signature blends, pastries as well as bakery items provided by Floriole Bakery.

Free Beer for Dads at Forno Rosso
Forno Rosso (1048 Randolph Street) will celebrate Father's Day on Sunday, June 19 by offering Dads a free Peroni with any food item purchase (limit one per Dad, dine-in only).

Forno Rosso (meaning "red oven" in Italian) offers traditional Neapolitan-style thin crust pizzas served fresh from a classic, wood-burning Gianni Acunto oven imported from Italy in a contemporary, urban atmosphere. The menu features over 20 handcrafted Neapolitan pizzas as well as antipasti and salads.

In honor of Father's Day, Kanela Breakfast Club in Andersonville, Lakeview, Old Town, Streeterville and Wicker Park will offer a complimentary order of Loukoumades (Greek doughnut, lemon honey syrup, toasted walnuts; regularly $3.50) to all dads with any purchase. Limit one order per table.

Dads who visit MAK (1924 W. Division) on Father's Day will enjoy buy-one-get-one free beers at lunch or dinner (dine-in only). MAK has recently unveiled a new line up of beers including local brews from Pipeworks Brewing Company and Revolution Brewing. Beer for $4 includes Revolution Anti-Hero, Lucky Buddha, Asahi Super Dry, Tsing Tao and Kirin Light , beer for $7 includes Pipeworks Ninja vs. Unicorn and Sapporo, and $8 beer includes Hitachino White Ale.
