City Works Eatery & Pour House

Rock out with your dad this Father’s Day at City Works Eatery & Pour House in Schaumburg, Wheeling, and Vernon Hills. Treat him to Sunday brunch featuring the rock n roll music and themed dishes.

Guests can select brunch dishes including:  

  • Jon Bun Jovi — Warm jumbo cinnamon roll with vanilla icing  
  • Johnny Hash — Hand-pulled, hardwood-smoked pulled pork shoulder with red and green bell peppers, onions, butternut squash, potatoes, jalapeño salsa verde and sunny-side-up eggs  
  • The Boss — eight-ounce top sirloin steak with eggs any style and cheesy potato casserole  

The brunch will be offered Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Kings Dining & Entertainment (Rosemont and Lincoln Park)

Available only on Father’s Day - Sunday, June 19th, both locations will feature a special package including bowling,  KINGS Steakhouse Burger (topped with sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese, bacon, Horseradish Aioli, and crispy onion strings), a pint of beer and a surprise bowling pin for $50 per person.

Dak Dak Korean Wings 

Dak Dak Korean Wings, a recently opened pick-up and delivery concept located in Villa Park, features a selection of Korean Wings and fries. Developed out of owner and Elmhurst native Joey Cornell’s love for Korean Wings, he created the concept and recipes when he was studying at Johnson & Wales and the school went full remote during the pandemic. The menu features a selection of Bone-In and Boneless Thighs, four different sauces, and crispy fries. Cornell says it's all about the technique with Korean Wings. 

“Our Korean wings are brined for 12-hours, coated in a very thin batter, fried once, and oh yeah, fried again, says Cornell. "The double fry is what makes our Korean wings unique and simply better than Buffalo.”

The full menu is available for pick-up or delivery. On Father’s Day Sunday, June 19th Dak Dak is open from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Windy City Smokeout

Returning to Chicago on August 4th through August 7th, tickets to the Windy City Smokeout is a way to spoil your dad this year. This year's headliners include Tim McGraw, Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt, Willie Nelson, and more! Along with seeing the performances, enjoy barbecue from pitmasters including 17th Street Barbeque, Against The Grain, Black's BBQ, Bub City, and Green Street Smoked Meats. Single Day tickets are now available and can be purchased here.

Carnivale

Celebrate this Father’s Day at Carnivale, 702 W Fulton Market St, as the restaurant is hosting an interactive dining experience powered by Maker’s Mark and Courvoisier. From 1PM– 5PM, guests can order from a dinner menu in addition to a photo op for snapping pics with Dad, ice luge, Maker’s Mark sampling and glass dipping, mini put put, and more.

Liríca

Liríca restaurant on Navy Pier, 900 E Grand Ave, will be offering a variety of dad-themed drink specials and music from 11AM-2PM. Father’s will find “The Dad Snack” special, adding a slider to any cocktail and a round of chips and dip served family-style. 

Oaken Bistro + Bar

Oaken Bistro + Bar, 200 N Field Drive, is offering brunch at the restaurant this Fathers’ Day from 7AM-3PM. Remedy Dad’s fabled sweet tooth with sweet chocolate chip pancakes or go the hearty route with a maple braised bacon, little gem and tomato sandwich. 

Thorn Restaurant & Lounge 

This modern American restaurant and lounge located inside The Rose Hotel at 5200 Pearl St. in Rosemont, will be offering BBQ specials including a ‘Smoked Brisket Sandwich,’ ‘Smoked BBQ Chicken Wings,’ and ‘Smoked Pulled Pork Tacos’ paired with the cocktails the Thorn serves. 

Aire

Grab Dad and head to Aire, located at 100 W. Monroe St., on the 24th floor of Hyatt Centric the Loop Chicago. 360-views with a new Midwestern-inspired menu, including small plates and appetizers meant for sharing and a beverage program. Aire features fire pits, cabanas, couches, outdoor games, and an outdoor bar with an urban feel. Aire is open on Father’s Day from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. 

Lowcountry 

Celebrate dad with a Southern-style backyard seafood boil experience at Lowcountry. With three Chicago locations in Lakeview, South Loop, and Chinatown. Guests can select from Lowcountry's signature combos with a choice of protein featuring shrimp or snow crab legs served with cornbread, corn, potatoes, and a soft drink. 

Ocean Prime 

Ocean Prime, located on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive on the second level of the LondonHouse at 87 E. Wacker Dr., is celebrating Father’s Day with a new brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in addition to their regular dinner service available until 9 p.m. Guests can select from a variety of appetizers, soups, salads, seafood and steak-focused entrees, signature cocktails, and a wine list while taking in views of Michigan Avenue and the Chicago River. 

Hyatt Lodge 

Hyatt Lodge is celebrating Father’s Day this year with alfresco dining at Water’s Edge and Lakeside Patio. Located at 2815 Jorie Blvd. in Oak Brook, families can dine at the onsite restaurant while immersed in nature and surrounded by lakes, streams, and wooded trails. Water’s Edge offers cafe items including salads, classic sandwiches, soups and entrees. 

Game of Irons

Treat dad to hole-in-one fun this Father’s Day with whiskey and golf at Game of Irons, 3041 Butterfield Rd Suite 104, June 18 & 19. Enjoy 2 hours of golf and a flight of 5 hand-picked bourbons/whiskey for only $99. Reservations for the special day can be made at gameofirons.com.

City Cruises Chicago

This Father’s Day, create family memories that will be treasured forever with celebrations from the water with City Cruises Chicago. West Town Bakery

To celebrate Father’s Day, the urban bakery, café and diner is offering the chance for children to celebrate their dads with cakes. Customers can pick up a cake template, draw a decoration and place a custom cake order from West Town Bakery & Diner, West Town Bakery & Tap and the Financial District location through June 13 - the bakery will work its magic to add that design directly to the cake. Cakes can be picked up from June 17 through June 19.

For Cubs fans looking for a coffee, snack or draft beer before rooting on the Cubs, West Town Bakery & Tap is a option right across from Wrigley Field at 3626 N Clark.

Offering cruises from multiple downtown locations for skyline views or calm waters and natural beauty from the Avondale dock at Rockwell on the River. Each boat can fit parties of four to 12 for family gatherings out on the water, and you can even bring dads favorite drinks and snacks with their BYOB set-up, plus blast his favorite bands through the on-board Bluetooth sound system.

A family style spread of filet mignon, French toast, thick-cut bacon and crispy potatoes is designed to be split amongst the table. Come evening time Maple will offer a special 20 oz. Bar Pendry

Bar Pendry’s burger features a Wagyu patty, 3-Year cheddar-smoked bacon and house pickles on a sesame brioche bun. Pair it with a beer from their drink menu for $25. Ride to the top floor to reach the hotel’s new rooftop bar, Chateau Carbide. As a nightcap, their signature Rooftop Old Fashioned, made with Suntory Tok, falernum and orange. 

Union

Union, the brand-new beer-focused restaurant in Logan Square from the folks behind Lardon, is offering their fully stacked Union Burger. This 8 oz brisket patty is topped with 2-year aged Wisconsin cheddar, fried onion strings, bone marrow aioli, and stuffed between two soft brioche buns + a side of crispy Yukon potatoes ($18). Have Dad wash it all down with one of five Old Fashioned selections on Union’s drink menu, including the Smoke + Dope Old Fashioned with four roses bourbon, roulette rye, sfumato rabarbaro amaro, regans and demerara, or the Beachin’ Mornings Old Fashioned with union mezcal, rittenhouse rye, house coffee pecan bitters, regans and honey at $12 each. 

The Publican

In celebration of the launch of The Publican x Wolf Point Distilling’s exclusive hand-selected barrel bottle releasing exclusively to One Off concepts, the restaurant is serving up a 4-course prix fixe menu pairing hearty farmhouse dishes like moules frites, smoked Slagel beef ribs, and bacon collard greens with spirits by Wolf Point and beers by Old Irving Brewery. At the end of the meal, guests will have the option to treat dad to a take home a bottle of this limited edition whiskey, available for $40. 

etta

etta is serving up its hearth-fired Italian fare with a take-home pocket old fashioned gift for the dads. Celebrate with handmade pastas, wood-fired pizzas, and meat dishes like short rib and pork belly towers or a prime rib special served with truffle au jus, fresh horseradish, and melted onions ($50). 

Venteux

For only $35 pair dad's choice of local beer on tap with a cut of steak, topped with Mâitre d'Hôtel Butter packed with fresh parsley and zesty lemon and served alongside a pile of crispy frites with a side of béarnaise sauce.

This Father’s Day, guests can treat Dad to a FREE comedy show at aliveOne while sipping $4 old styles and $5 shots of Evan Williams. aliveOne will also offer FREE pool and a half-price happy hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Living Room Sessions, a weekly comedy open mic that invites amateur comedians to take a shot at the stage. Sign up starts at 5:30 p.m. Following Living Room Sessions, CRUSHES comedy kicks off at 8:30 p.m. featuring a stand up showcase with some of Chicago's  comics.

Bartoli's Pizzeria

All customers will receive a complimentary order of small Buffalo Wings for Dad with the mention of “Father’s Day” when they place an order of $30 or more. Eight large wings with a choice of mild, spicy, or barbecue sauce served with celery and blue cheese or ranch dipping sauce.

Cody's Public House

Cody’s in Lakeview West will host a U.S. Open Putter Ball Tournament on Sunday, June 19 at 2 p.m. for Father’s Day. Prizes will include a Bushmill's Titleist Golf Bag, Titleist AVX golf balls, Golden Tee merchandise and more. Chicagoans can treat Dad to a wine tasting at Uvae Kitchen and Wine Bar in Andersonville on Saturday, June 18 at 3 p.m. The $35 per person tasting features 4 four-ounce pours and will be led by Uvae Sommeliers and guest wine makers. Small bite add-ons include a Cheese Plate ($15), Cheese & Charcuterie Plate ($20) and Duck Pâté ($12).

Michael Jordan's Steak House Chicago 

For Father’s Day dinner, the restaurant will be offering a special Lobster and Sweet Corn Chowder ($23) and Smoked 16oz Hand Cut Ribeye with Short Rib Stuffed Bone Marrow ($72). End your meal on a sweet note with a special Strawberry Shortcake ($16) offering or a slice of the restaurant’s 23 layer Cake. Reservations are available on OpenTable.

Hoyt's

The American tavern is offering brunch, including a free beer for Dad on Sunday, June 19. Including sweet treats like Bananas Foster French Toast or savory sandwiches like the White Cheddar Burger. Bottomless mimosas are also available, along with traditional breakfast dishes. Brunch will be available from 9am-2pm.

State and Lake Chicago Tavern

In addition to the regular menu, diners can choose from starters such as Harvest Chopped Salad, Caesar Salad, Burrata and Roasted Farmer Squash Bruschetta, or Seared Lump Crab Cake. Then choose from an array of mains, such as Steak Frites, Grilled Chicken Breast Paillard, Grilled Faroe Island Salmon, and Rigatoni with Spicy Vodka Sauce. Top off the meal with Valrhona Chocolate Devil's Food Cake, Banana Pudding, or Seasonal Sorbet with macerated berries. The three-course tasting menu is available for dinner on Sunday, June 19 and is $55 per person. Reservations are available on OpenTable.
