Cookies and Cheer, a cookie exchange November 29-30, Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park, 200 North Columbus Drive, is getting in the holiday spirit even earlier this year with the launch of their new smitten for sweets seasonal menu. Inspired by the tradition of holiday cookies, from November 1 – January 31, THE BAR will introduce cookie-inspired cocktails, and Columbus Tap, the in-house gastropub will partner with local breweries to offer a variety of seasonal brews.
Each special cocktail and beer will be served with a chef-made holiday cookie. During the holiday season, guests will be able to enjoy craft cocktails from THE BAR such as the “Champagne ‘n Cane,” the “Peppermint Chocolate Martini,” the “Cherry Pomegranate Mojito,” and the “Cranberry Mule.” Cocktails will be served with chef-made cookies including Rosemary Shortbread, Kumquat Macaroons, Chocolate Wafers and Brandy Snap Tuile Cookies among other festive creations.
“One of my favorite holiday memories was watching my dad make a special holiday drink on Christmas Eve,” said Jamie Boughner, Assistant Director of Food & Beverage & Mixologist at Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park. “After dinner my whole family would enjoy a cocktail with homemade holiday cookies around our tree.”
Columbus Tap will also offer several local holiday-centric brews in collaboration with Temperance Brewing Co and Revolution Brewing such as Temperance Birdsong Saison, Revolution Fistmas, New Holland Dragon’s Milk Bourbon Barrel Stout and Bell’s Christmas Ale.
