Full breakdown: Fabulous Freddies Italian Eatery Seeks Community Support to Recognize Bridgeport-area Heroes
Fabulous Freddies, the Italian Eatery on 31st Street in Bridgeport, is launching a Facebook promotion where area residents can post stories and photos about Bridgeport-area heroes. A panel of third-party judges will select a hero from one of the posts to be honored with a private party for 25 people. In addition, as a “thank-you” to the community, Freddies will give a $5 gift certificate toward a purchase of $10.00 or more for every accepted entry. The initiative comes on the heals of the family-owned restaurant’s unveiling of its Horse of Honor this spring, and in anticipation of their 26th anniversary of doing business in the community they grew up in.
“We are proud of our community and of the people that make it a better place to live. Our goal with this program is to honor area residents who have made a difference through their services to our country, their families and our great city,” say the Bertucci sisters, second-generation owners.
The Bertucci family is inviting area residents to submit their hero pictures and stories on Freddies’ Facebook page from now through Veteran’s Day.
