On Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at 7 p.m., Labriola Ristorante & Café — the Italian restaurant, bar, and bakery café from Rich Labriola —invites guests to a deliciously educational dinner highlighting the flavors of Sardinia, Italy. Taste of Sardinia is hosted by Labriola Executive Chef John Caputo and Fabio Pibiri of Buon Gusto, an importer of fine Sardinian products. Guests will enjoy a specially prepared four-course dinner featuring wines and cuisine from the island of Sardinia, Italy and a discussion on Sardinian cuisine with Fabio Pibiri.

Chef Caputo and Sardinian food and wine expert Fabio Pibiri will educate guests on:

  • The origin and influences of Sardinian cuisine
  • The factors that contribute to longevity in “Blue Zones” like Sardinia
  • The health benefits of Sardinian cuisine
  • Dishes and beverages that hail from the island

Guests will enjoy a four-course menu featuring spring dishes highlighting the flavors of Sardinia, Italy from Chef Caputo, including:

Pickled spring ramps & seasonal vegetable bruschetta
Paired with Jannas, DOC, Rose

Aperitif, wildberries and pink grapefruit

Georges Bank Atlantic Scallops
Sea beans, Tyrrhenian Sea broth

Delicate, white romantic herbs with lingering acidity

Slow Roasted Baby Lamb
Swiss chard, mint Sardinian ravioli
Paired with Nepente, DOC, 100% Cannonau
