Now Open Greek Wicker Park

Reporting notes: DOX Quality Greek Opens in Wicker Park

Located in the heart of Wicker Park’s six corners, DOX Quality Greek has opened at 1566 N. Damen Ave. The team behind mini-chain Greek Kitchen and Executive Chef/Partner Christos Fasseas have partnered to bring flavors from the streets of Athens, Greece to Chicago.

The DOX menu is intended for sharing and will highlight the best of Greek street food. The kitchen will be open seven days a week and will offer both carry out and late night dining options.

“As a longtime Wicker Park resident, I recognize a gap in the neighborhood for casual, quality shared meals with a quick and easy carry-out option.” - founder Peter Thanoukos

Salads will include ancient grains (farro, quinoa), superfoods, hearty nuts, roasted vegetables and house-made dressings and vinaigrettes (tahini-citrus, balsamic-agave). Chicagoans can dive into the tastes and textures of DOX’s menu with offerings such as Grilled Haloumi, cherry tomato-ouzo dressing; Grilled Greek Style WingsAvocado Hummus, fried chickpeas; and Spicy Roasted Red Pepper and Feta Dip.

DOX will also feature small format, handcrafted pitas, which are sandwich vessels for Fasseas’ Braised LambGrilled Chicken and Pork and Charred Veggies. In a nod to Greek street food, you can also order the proteins as a la carte kabobs, priced to order per skewer. Sourcing organic, local, farm fresh meat, DOX’s Greek brined Rotisserie Chicken will be slow roasted in-house and available quartered, halved or full.

Rounding out the DOX experience on a sweet note are the house-made mini Greek donuts, better known as Loukoumades. Hot and fresh, the bite-sized treats will be cooked to order and drizzled with choice of nutella-pistachio, imported honey, ice cream and more.
