Charity Event

Former Publisher of DiningOut Chicago, Laura Goodman and Managing Editor Kaleigh Glaza, have announced that after a combined 23 years serving the Chicago hospitality community, they are pivoting to a new project - Dine-It-4ward. With mission support from Starbucks Reserve Roastery Chicago, Dine-It-4ward will focus on “moving dining forward through community strength and support.”

This mission begins with the launch of its initial product, the Chicago Culinary Guide. Free for all participating restaurants, the guide will serve to bolster carry-out and dine-in business for restaurants and small businesses across the city and suburbs going into the winter season. In addition to supporting local businesses, the Culinary Guide will also give consumers access to thousands of dollars of offerings by purchasing the guide for essentially the price of a meal for two.

“We’re so excited to show up and fight for the hospitality industry in a meaningful way when they need it most”, said Dine-It-4ward Co-Founder Laura Goodman. “It’s amazing how much philanthropic work is being done by restaurants across the country and specifically in our community in the face of this ongoing pandemic. We want to share these stories with Chicago consumers by spotlighting the charities and nonprofits that our industry supports, while at the same time giving these hard-working restaurants the much-needed support they require in this existential moment. They are going to continue to need this assistance for many months to come. Our work is far from done, and we look forward to doing as much as possible for our food family.”

More than 75 restaurants will be featured in the Dine-It-4ward Culinary Guide. Restaurants offer consumers buy-one-get-one options, and other deals. Participating restaurants include, but are not limited to:

● Arami Sushi
● Batter & Berries
● Big Star
● BLVD Steakhouse
● City Winery Chicago
● Daisies
● Firecakes Donuts
● Formento’s
● Gino’s East
● HaiSous Vietnamese Cuisine
● Hubbard Inn
● Le Colonial
● Michael Jordan’s Restaurant
● NoMI Kitchen + Lounge
● Stan’s Donuts
● Yugen

In addition to offering access to a number of sweet deals, Dine-It-4ward will keep people up to date on what’s happening in the hospitality industry and inform them how they can “pay it forward” by “dining it forward,” in support of the neighborhood spots they love.

Culinary Guides are priced at $40+shipping, and are also available at bulk pricing. A portion of sales will also benefit different charitable organizations: Green City Market, American Cancer Society, Pilot Light Foundation, etc. Proud supporters of the guide include: Starbucks Reserve Roastery, Flats Residences, Eat Purely, J.P Wiser’s, D/Vision Optical, and more.
