Wednesday, December 11 - Seven-Course Michelin Chef Dinner at Steadfast

Steadfast executive chef Jeremy Leven and pastry chef Chris Teixeira will host a seven-course dinner featuring Michelin starred chefs and more on Wednesday, December 11 with all proceeds benefitting NoStigmas charity.
 
Steadfast is one of the restaurants from The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group. Steadfast opened in 2016 inside The Kimpton Gray Hotel in The Loop at 120 W Monroe St.
 
Seventy tickets for the charity dinner that starts at 6pm on Wednesday, December 11 at Steadfast are available for purchase via this Eventbrite link: http://steadfastchicago.eventbrite.com
 
The price of $120 includes a cocktail hour with passed appetizers, a seven-course dinner from seven chefs, dinner beverage pairings, tax, and gratuity. All proceeds from the dinner will benefit NoStigmas (https://nostigmas.org).
 
NoStigmas is a mental health support organization built by people who have been impacted by mental health and suicide-related issues. NoStigmas empowers a network of over 75,000 “Allies” through self-care, peer support, and advocacy tools while aiming to eliminate stigmas as a barrier to overall wellbeing.
 
“As a Chicago service industry veteran who has been impacted by mental health issues, I know firsthand the wellness challenges that hospitality workers face,” NoStigmas Founder Jacob Moore said. “NoStigmas is honored to be named the beneficiary of this exciting event, and we're thrilled to provide awareness and wellness resources to the Steadfast community and throughout Chicagoland. Cocktail hour for the charity dinner will be from 6pm to 7pm with passed appetizers from Chef Nate Henssler of Portsmith and Chef Miles Schaefer of 90th Meridian. Dylan Seo – bar manager at The Sixth – will have two specialty drinks available during cocktail hour in addition to zero proof drinks. Portsmith, 90th Meridian, and The Sixth are also part of The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group.
 
The dinner portion of the evening starts at 7pm. There will be five savory and two dessert courses. The following seven chefs will each do their own course at the dinner.

* Chef Jonathan Zaragoza of Birrieria Zaragoza (Michelin Bib Gourmand)

* Pastry Chef Jared Bacheller of Entente (One Michelin Star)
 
* Pastry Chef Chris Teixeira of Steadfast
 
Alcoholic and zero proof beverage pairings from Seo are included during the dinner. Unfortunately, dietary restrictions cannot be accommodated at the charity dinner.
 
Leven is the new executive chef at Steadfast and his new fall happy hour and dinner menus are now available. Leven is a former chef at mfk (where earned Michelin Bib Gourmand honors in 2016 & 2017) and Gaslight Coffee Roasters. Leven recently completed a 15-week stint under chef Rene Redzepi at Noma. Leven was a member of Zagat Chicago's “30 Under 30” class a few years ago.

Thursday, December 19 - Feast of the Seven Fishes at Spiaggia

Café Spiaggia will be hosting its annual Feast of the Seven Fishes this holiday season. On Thursday, December 19, Chef/Partner Tony Mantuano and Executive Chef Eric Lees will bring the southern-Italian Christmas Eve tradition to life, offering a seven-course menu of seafood that celebrates Italy’s coastal bounty.

With seatings available at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., diners will enjoy artfully crafted, family style presentations of octopus, clams, fresh fish, and much more. Reservations are available for $75 per person, with optional wine pairings for an addition $25 per person.

Fritto Misto (smelt, shrimp, lemon, neonata aioli)

Spaghetti with Clams (white wine sauce, bread crumbs)

Rushing Waters Trout (white bean puttanesca, Kalamata olive, artichoke)

Dolci- Italian Christmas Cookies (mint chip & raspberry-basil gelato)
