  • Manchamanteles

“El Monarca”, a Día de los Muertos Journey is a four-course tasting menu inspired by the connection between life and death, memory and presence, family, migration and Mexican tradition. To create this culinary journey, Chef Geno drew inspiration from the monarch butterfly’s annual migration to Mexico and its connection to Día de los Muertos, when it is believed that the souls of loved ones return to visit. The menu, available Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, November 1 at 6 p.m., follows four courses:

  • Madre - Tamalito de Mole Rojo: a tribute to the mothers and grandmothers whose hands, recipes, and traditions shape who we become.
  • El Altar - Pato en Mole Negro: rich, layered, and deeply rooted in tradition, this course reflects the altar as a place where memory comes alive through photographs, candles, flowers, and favorite foods.
  • El Camino Entre Dos Mundos - Nogaditas: representing the invisible path between two worlds and the connection between those who came before us and those who remain.
  • La Ofrenda - Corn Husk Concha & Atole de Piña con Alegría: a celebration of life, memory, and Mexican tradition. The corn husk concha filled with Chef Geno’s Mexican chocolate mousse.

The tasting is $75 per person, plus tax and gratuity, with an optional $55 tequila pairing. Reservations are required and can be made on Tock.
