Hey Hey! It's almost Cubs Opening Day! While Wrigleyville will be hopping with new season excitement, there are plenty of restaurants around the city that will be celebrating too.

Chicagoans can kick off the 2019 Cubs season and celebrate post-game at aliveOne on Monday, April 8 with a half-price everything happy hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. as well as $3 Hamms and $5 Lagunitas available all night. Guests can stay for FREE music-themed trivia hosted by Whaddayaknow Trivia beginning at 8 p.m. Top teams will receive an aliveOne gift card. Guests can also play FREE pool every Monday.

Easy Bar

Chicagoans who want to stay out of the Wrigleyville madness for the Cubs home opener can enjoy post-game drinks at Easy Bar in Wicker Park. Featured specials will include $4 Old Style, $6 glasses of wine, a Jimador tequila shot and Tecate for $6, $2 PBR, and a half-price everything happy hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

HVAC Pub

Located steps from Wrigley Field on Clark Street, HVAC Pub will open at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 8 to celebrate the start of the Chicago Cubs 2019 season. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., HVAC will host a Blue Beer and Brunch Party. Early bird tickets start at $20 per person and include admission, blue beer and a brunch buffet with hot dogs, eggs, potatoes, peanuts, and Cracker Jacks. All day specials will include $100 coolers with either 30 Natural Light Naturdays or alcoholic sparkling seltzer, $60 Mimosa, Bellini, Rosé and Sangria Towers, 72 canned beer options as well as a lemonade stand serving up Vodka Lemonade and Lynchburg Lemonades. Tito's Vodka and Jack Daniels will also be available on tap. Cubs fans will enjoy live music after the game.

Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya

In recognition of their love for Cubs player Yu Darvish, Kizuki in Lincoln Park and Wicker Park will offer a special $1 Sapporo special for the Cubs home opener and all Cubs home games this season when Cubs player Yu Darvish pitches. Kizuki will also show all games that Yu Darvish plays in (No purchase necessary; limit 3 beers per person).

Parlay at Joy District

  • Buy-one-get-one free beer buckets with any food purchase

Parlay at Joy District will open early at 12 p.m. on Monday, April 8 for the Cubs home opener. While watching the game, guests will enjoy BOGO beer buckets with the purchase of any food item (domestic: $30 and import: $35). Cubs fans can catch all the big game action with sound on 21 TVs ranging from 60-inches to 100-inches as well as one 200" projector screen.
