County BBQ is back! The DMK Restaurant concept has officially reopened after restoring its property following a fire. Located in University Village/Little Italy, County features a menu inspired by the flavors of America’s barbecue regions, along with the tradition of Chicago’s rib tips.
A collaboration between David Morton and Michael Kornick of DMK Restaurants along with Partner/Chef Erick Williams, County serves an array of meat selections that are prepared with Kornick and Williams’ propriety rub of secret herbs and spices, then topped with the restaurant’s homemade barbecue sauce.
Hickory smoked meat selections include Texas brisket, Chicago rib tips, St. Louis spare ribs, hot links, pulled pork and smoked chicken, while side dish selections span traditional items. A full bar is complete with craft beer, house cocktails and whiskey selections.
